Next to Grenoble, close to Lyon and Valence, located between Isère and Drôme, the Vercors massif is the perfect limestone plateau: shaped by the erosion, steep cliffs and sinkholes of all kinds. It has many possible caving sites, much more numerous than its close neighbor Chartreuse massif.
Renowned throughout France for the diversity of caving, Vercors massif get the Berger Abyss, renowned in the caving community, a network that has eleven entrances and develops over nearly forty kilometers!

Our caves selection in Vercors
In the heart of the Vercors, we have 4 caving courses that are well-known for its different way, its difficulties and its atmospheres!!
- The Gournier cave next to Choranche, with its crossing of lake by boat and its underground river, a day outing with breakage.
- The Eymards cave in Lans en Vercors with its abseiling wells, 4,5 hours speleology and a rope lift.
- The Roche Labyrinth cave in Villard de Lans 3 hours of labyrinth in the fossil gallery to be done whatever the weather and from 7 years old.
- Les Cuves de Sassenage, near Grenoble, this 3 hours caving allows to discover the rock shaped by the river and to play with the water, in a diversified route.
Gournier cave
8 hours of caving, minimum 4 persons
The pearl of Vercors. Access by boat to cross the lake, hiking in a gallery to access a river and an underground canyon.
Les Cuves de Sassenage
3 hours of caving, located at the foot of the Furon gorges.
The entrance is a converted cavity where we will access a labyrinth of a very varied course, which leads us to the river.
Eymards cave
4h30 of caving, next to Lans-en-Vercors
The vertical and excellent discovery with a reminder of 30 m, and a superb room of stalactites and stalagmites.
Les Saintes Glaces
8 hours physical caving in Méaudre.
Physical and technical, perfect to practice abseiling and for an introduction to the rope climbing. An 8 hours route will bring us to the exit. A amazing adventure day possible any season.
Eymards-cave
4h30 of caving, next to Lans-en-Vercors
The vertical and excellent discovery with a reminder of 30 m, and a superb room of stalactites and stalagmites.
