The Vercors is on horseback on the Isère and Drôme departments. It is a limestone mountain massif, more technically a karst massif, that is to say it possesses a tormented landscape suitable for canyoning and speleology with a large network of underground rivers and exceptional canyons.
The upper part of the Furon canyon is located just downstream of the Engins gorges, between Grenoble and Sassenage and Lans-en-Vercors. This course consists of two beautiful receipt interspersed with a less narrow zone but which nevertheless presents various obstacles and playful. In the receipt, you will find beautiful cascades where alternate recalls, jumps and slides. It is a very fun itinerary where everyone will find pleasure.
The lower part of the Furon is located at the city's gates, just above Sassenage. It is a complete course, ideal to discover the activity. Beautiful reminders, jumps, passages of syphons, everything is there, easily accessible. The course has numerous scopes allowing to adapt the difficulty of the progression according to the capacities of each one.
The second part of the Ecouges canyon is probably the most classic. It is a complete course that allows you to discover all the facets of the activity. The immersion lasts more than 4 hours, the first reminders of 15 and 25 m put in the bath. Then we quickly continue with many slides and jumps in a nice receipt. A few more reminders and we leave the gorge.
The first part of the Ecouges canyon is reserved for fans of thrills. Indeed, the reminders unfold continuously in an exceptional receipt. We go out of the throat descending the waterfall of 70m, to join the road and the second part's departure.
The Pissarde canyon is very interesting for a gentle discovery of the verticality, the numerous waterfalls allow reminders throughout the progression. Watered by the waterfalls of this canyons you will quickly taste the freshness of this invigorating water.
Located on the foothills of the Vercors massif, at the gates of Trièves, the Moules Marinières canyon is an alternative of choice to the other classic courses of the region. This canyon cashed offers you very nice jumps, reminders and tobbogans. Ideal for initiation and family outings.
The Chartreuse is located between Dauphiné and Savoie. Surrounded by high cliffs, it is also a massive karstic. For canyoning, the great waterfalls that flow from the Plateau des Petites Roches to the valley of Grésivaudan are famous, but reserved for experienced, some of them exceed a hundred meters!
Other canyons of the Chartreuse have a more aquatic profile, such as the Gorges de Chaille, the Infernet or the Grenant.
The Infernet canyon is located in the commune of Quaix-en-Chartreuse, only 25 minutes from Grenoble and 45 minutes from Lyon. Difficult to imagine from the road that below such a throat is waiting for us!
From the valley, you can see these waterfalls which will be the occasion of superb descents in recall of which one (the largest) exceeds 40m! It is a fairly sporty descent due to its technical aspect with its multiple reminders.
The Grenant is the famous canyon next to the Aiguebelette lake. If you are on holiday, close to the lake, do not miss the opportunity to descend the Grenant for a 3 hour initiation of canyoning smoothly.
