Alloix waterfall canyon

Description

Located in the Chartreuse massif, half way between Grenoble and Chambéry, the Alloix waterfall canyon is one of the must-sees in the Grésivaudan Valley.

It is a canyon with beautiful verticals for abseiling, for example descend on rope to the Cascade Oubliee, on the Nepali bridge of the Via ferrata of Saint Vincent de Mercuze.

The highest abseiling is almost 45m (the highest of the Alloix waterfalls). This abseiling is rather original and impressive: we will descend in a spider thread, that means our feet do not touch the rock when descend because the cliff of the waterfall is pouring.

The Alloix canyon is a good training for those who engage to more difficult descents like the upper part of the Ecouges canyon.

Further down the canyon, you will also find some small jumps and beautiful slide. The green and beauty of the place, and the freshness are in the programs of this pleasant descent, which has less visitors compared to the other canyons of the region.
