Angon canyon Perfomance option Talloires, above Annecy Lake

The Angon Canyon is an Annecy classic, one to check off your bucket list. Located on the edge of Annecy Lake, Agnon Canyon is a good fit forbeginners with some prior canyoning experience. The Canyon has 2 options :

• Angon Performance the longer of the two routes
• Angon discovery, a shorter duration and more moderate than Angon Performance

For the Performance version, you will have to climb a somewhat strenuous path for 30 minutes or do it faster by car.

The descent begins, further upstream, by a vertiginous 115ft rappel down in the Angon waterfall from a famous lookout point.

The descent begins with an impressive rappel from the footbridge where there is a breathtaking view of the waterfall. As you begin the decent directly in the water, if the flow is high, things can be more sporty.

Next up, the always exciting left bank featuring a 60ft free-hanging rappel . Once out of the water, a narrow gully sends you through the ‘mailbox’, an original and surprising toboggan-siphon!

The Performance route provides a variety of technical situations in the setting of "La Tournette", an impressive mountain overlooking Annecy Lake.
